Self-Isolating and Vulnerable People Information

For those who people who have received a letter and are being shielded or if you have one of the following medial conditions, you can register here https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus-extremely-vulnerable and help support will be offered. You can register other people so if someone cannot do it themselves give them our number 01625 501759 and we will do it for them.

People falling into this extremely vulnerable group include:

1.Solid organ transplant recipients.
2.People with specific cancers:

•people with cancer who are undergoing active chemotherapy

•people with lung cancer who are undergoing radical radiotherapy

•people with cancers of the blood or bone marrow such as leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma who are at any stage of treatment

•people having immunotherapy or other continuing antibody treatments for cancer

•people having other targeted cancer treatments which can affect the immune system, such as protein kinase inhibitors or PARP inhibitors

•people who have had bone marrow or stem cell transplants in the last 6 months, or who are still taking immunosuppression drugs

3.People with severe respiratory conditions including all cystic fibrosis, severe asthma and severe COPD.

4.People with rare diseases and inborn errors of metabolism that significantly increase the risk of infections (such as SCID, homozygous sickle cell).

5.People on immunosuppression therapies sufficient to significantly increase risk of infection.

6.Women who are pregnant with significant heart disease, congenital or acquired.

Mental Health Support

Local NHS Trust and Cheshire and Wirral Partnership has launched a mental health helpline. It is open 24 hours per day 7 days per week and open to all ages. The number is 0300 303 3972

Information and Advice including Welfare Rights Support

We are still open with our telephone line on 01625 501759 for information and advice. We continue to help out with welfare benefits advice and form filling best we can.

Citizens Advice Bureau are also still open for assistance including Universal Credit and employment queries.

Befriending calls

AGE UK Cheshire East are running a befriending phone all phone line and information and advice. Their number is 01625 612958

Disability Information Bureau can also offer befriending calls to people who are isolated or lonely call 01625 501759

Eye Society - If people are needing phone support with smartphones and tablets from a Visual Impairment standpoint, give them a call and their Tech advisor can call them back. Call 01625 422602
